“Our Angel On Earth”
My mother, who passed away in January, 2013, and I have known Merrie for a number of years starting when she was the Activities Director at The Place (now Emeritus). As I, my sister and brothers do not live in Tucson, it was important for us to know that Mother had a person who she knew and trusted to take care of her needs. Merrie not only let Mother assist her at the Place and feel a part of the Residence, she was also a friend that mother trusted to get her the things she needed when she was not able to go to the store, Walgreen's, etc. We never doubted Mother's trust in Merrie when Mother would give her cash for purchases or the use of her Credit Card. When Mother got seriously ill in November, 2012, you have no idea how thrilled Mother, my sister, brothers and I were to know that Merrie had started her own Senior Service business. We have no idea how Mother and our family would have been able to handle the last months of Mother's life without her. Merrie was "our angel on earth”, being with Mother every day, handling Mom's 93rd Birthday Celebration at Casa de la Luz Hospice in November, helping us move Mother to her final residence at Crossroads Adult Care Home. Not only was Merrie with her, she ran errands for Mother, wrote and mailed Mother's Thanksgiving and Christmas Cards, updated Mom's Address Book, said Prayers with Mother, held the phone so Mother could talk to and hear her children and her friends, had the ability to calm her down at times and kept my sister, brothers and I informed and told us over and over again to call her anytime, day or night. I miss my Mother and the daily calls and visits but know she is in a better place and was prepared (with the help of Merrie) to be finally at peace. There are so many other things to say - helping to pack, being there for the planning and printing of items for the services, running errands, making suggestions, etc. You know the list can go on, and on, and on, and on...
Love you,
~Toni~

Please allow me to tell you about Merrie with Merrie Senior Services. I am a “young” 91 year old lady.
I have had the pleasure of having Merrie assist me with many things. First of all she is very reliable, trustworthy, caring and also a good listener. She has helped me sort and organize my apartment. Assisted with several Doctors appointments, helped balance my check book, she has taken me on many needed errands. She has helped with the order and pick up of new prescriptions. We have had a few lunch outings and gone to the museum as an outing. I have trusted her to do some shopping with me and for me. I am able to ask her assistance and ideas as reminders for anything to help make my life easier. She always helps figure things out. “She is wonderful and I truly trust her!” I tease her as she is working and say “without you I couldn’t get things done so quick, you are so fast and furious.” I would like to see her get more people to help here where I live so that I could get to see her more often. I fully trust her with driving me here and there. She always seems to know where things go, how to get things finished and what to do. If she does not know something she is very resourceful. She has shown me that she truly cares about people as individuals. She is a joy to have help me and in my life. We have fun as friends too. I strongly recommend her to anyone who needs help of any kind. I look forward to seeing her every time she comes.
Sincerely,
Young (affectionately “Young” Alice)

My name is Alta Davidson and I am a 77 year old woman who was living in Desert Pueblo Mobil Home Park.
I first requested Merrie of Merrie Senior Services to help me clean out and organize my storage unit. It took her no time at all to help me discard, organize and clean out the unit. I decided to move into an assisted living apartment at Atria Bell Court Gardens and I required her service to make this move. I had a three bedroom, double wide mobile home that had items that had to be either given away, packed for two different storage units and the move to a one bedroom apartment. Merrie was terrific at helping me discard, pack and move.
I simply could not have made the move without her. She helped me purchase items I would need at the new home, unpack and put things in their place once the move was made. I would and do recommend her to everybody. She is a charming, lovely lady that helps you with great care and patience.

Merrie is exactly as she appears to be after first meeting her. She is caring, loving, sensitive and honest. When Merrie was one of the people caring for my mom in an Assisted Living facility, she was the best of the best. My mom loved her and so did I. (still do) She has the natural, inborn sense of knowing what older people need, and her kindness to my mom and all of the other residents was just a Godsend.

Merrie was one of the several in charge of caring for our mother in an assisted living care facility. Her smiling face and genuine concern was always welcomed by the residents and families. Merrie is truly a "Senior Specialist" that enjoys providing the much needed services our senior population so deserves.
